CASE STUDIES
MARSHFIELD ORGANICS
Marshfield Organics are already a very naturally sustainable business clearly noted by their organic certificate. They commissioned us to help with their carbon reduction of their built environment. We produced a desktop energy review and technical site survey. The main recommendation was to upgrade their fridges. Their daytime energy use fitted a perfect solar generation curve. Our detailed report was used to apply for a energy reduction grant. This resulted in a decrease of 75% of their total energy use.
QUEEN’S HOUSE
Queen’s House approached us to see if a solar project was viable. We did an energy review of the whole building and discovered some interesting things. Due to the size and orientation of the building there was different energy improvement measures that recommended to different areas of the building. We gave them the specification of solar panels we thought was appropriate and we hope to do their energy review next year to see what the impact of these improvements are.
LIBRARIES UNLIMITED
We were recommended to Libraries Unlimited to produce carbon footprints across all of the libraries in Devon. We used opening hours, book issues, and building size as the metrics to compare and analyse them. This report then enabled Libraries Unlimited to see which libraries are the most/least efficient across their portfolio. This will go on to help Devon County Council reduce their scope 3 emissions and reach their Net-Zero target sooner.
