Although we specialise in sustainability for the built environment, we also like to help provide businesses with a complete sustainability service. Below are some of the organisations we work with to help bring to light some common social problems and suggestions on how we can mitigate these inequalities and help build better communities.

THE BRILLIANT ORGANISATIONS WE WORK WITH

We like to work with Earth Action North Devon as they hold brilliant events such as beach cleans and repair cafes. Businesses should organise CSR days to help build teamwork, improve mental health, and improve their local community through working with schools and campaigning.

The SBR is the commercial side of 361 Energy. 361 helps support people in fuel poverty, assisting with free home visits, energy improvements, and social support. We recommend you let all your employees know about this free service to help reduce economic inequalities within your organisation.

We think all businesses should be a part of the Biosphere Business Partners. BBP organises events that are a prime opportunity to network and improve the security of your business. It is also a chance to share and discuss your progress with natural environment improvement projects.

As one of the main pillars of the Northern Devon community, we believe there is a great benefit in working closely with their business support team. We have had students from Petroc for work experience and heavily endorse doing so. It was a chance for students to gain insight into the industry but it also gave us a new perspective talking to young people.

The Pickwell Foundation is a charity dedicated to supporting displaced people and climate refugees in Northern Devon. Displaced people find it extremely hard to function in our society for several reasons such as their trauma, cultural differences, and language barriers. It is a pleasure to work with their team.

Agriculture is a large part of Devon’s economy. Mental Health in the Farming community is at an all-time high due to supply chain pressures and reducing subsides, leaving many small/medium farms struggling. The Devon Agri-Tech Alliance is a way to network with others in the industry and gives space to discuss new and innovative solutions to regular farming issues.
